A grand jury in Ontario County, N.Y., will decide whether Tony Stewart will face charges in connection with the Aug. 9 dirt-track accident in which the NASCAR driver struck and killed Kevin Ward Jr.
An investigation by the county sheriff concluded last week and the information gathered was turned over to the office of the district attorney. In announcing the end of the investigation, the sheriffs department said the evidence included a forensic video enhancement or the incident at Canandaigua, N.Y., Motorsports Park.

That is possible, as well.
...not being touchy, but Stewart is not “in the infield” in that photo, or in a lot of other photos on the net if you care to look. I just think TS has gotten a pass over the years for doing that sort of thing, and yet when he kills a rookie doing the same thing he’s been guilty of, well, you get the idea.
His name is Tony Stewart...not Steward...
You know that from the time you first race...in quarter midgets they tell you that, too.
Straw Man, that picture is occuring in the pit area
I do... he is Danica’s boss...(Danica — the mist overrated driver in NASCAR).
Ever race at Lime Rock?
The France family (NASCAR’s owner) is doing the PC crap themselves...they are banning the Rebel flags, trying to get blacks, women (Danica Patrick) and foreigners (Juan Pablo Montoya, Marco Ambrose) into it. I not sure when the first openly gay driver will drive, but I know it’ll be soon.
Who cares?
IMO Stewart never saw him. The right side view out of a sprint car is almost nill.
No you have missed what I said, that part where I said Tony needed to turn right, to avoid Kevin, so the rear of the car went left was talking about just before he hit Kevin on the track, not the accident where Kevin got up into the cushion and hit the wall. You see in the video that his right front tire barely misses Kevin. That means his right rear tire is in line with Kevin as it sticks out about 24” beyond the right front. To Avoid him the car almost needs to spin around him.
When Tony came into camera view before hitting Kevin, he was drifting up the track and this was same reason Kevin hit the wall, because he lifted his foot off the gas... the car goes to the right. This is pure speculation, but it looks like Tony had to lift when he saw the car in front of him slow and probably almost spin his car to avoid Kevin (just before it came into camera view) as you can see him barely collecting it back up down at the bottom of the track. If Tony thinks the car in front of him is spinning out or stopping in front of him, he needs to pick a line to avoid both that car, and Kevin’s car up along the fence... These cars don’t stop during a caution, They are direct drive, no clutch to push or gears to shift, which is why they are push started. The driveshaft is connected to the flywheel, if the motor is running back wheels are under power.
Again, he did that after they crashed and Kenseth was going down pit road, just not the same thing as doing it on the oval while cars are under caution. Granted, it is poor sportsmanship...
OK got me there
If I was on trial for anything, I would be scared to death of an enhanced video. Seems like the enhancements are at the mercy of the person doing the enhancing.
And where was Stewart? Directly behind the car that swerved at the last second ... revealing Ward on the track (and moving toward the cars) with no reaction time left for Stewart.
Tragic accident ... nothing more.
