I've heard no negative reports from people who are using it to cut down or quit smoking; only many positive ones.

Well it’s not quitting smoking, nicotine is still present but without all the other ingredients from tobacco.
Right now it is inexpensive but I’m sure at some point the tax man will ruin that.
I'm not a smoker and I'm not going to get into the "smoker vs. non-smoker" crap here, I just wanted to address your point above.
I don't know anyone who "used to" smoke that's used vaping to actually quit smoking in total. When I say that, I mean they vaped for awhile and then quit vaping.
I don't know anyone who's done that. It seems to me that vaping is just substituting one method of getting something into your lungs (cigarettes) for another (vaping.)
Truth is that neither the substances from cigarettes or vaping belong in your lungs in the first place.
I get it, smoking is an addiction as much mental (hand to mouth) as it is physical (nicotine.) That's my basis for saying vaping is just substituting one habit for another.
