Well, three years so far! And I still have that pack of smokes sitting around somewhere!
Someone today said “Wow.. what is that vanilla smell?” so I actually smelled my vape pen and it did indeed smell a bit like vanilla.

Oh well!

Quitting vaping is remarkably easy. I’ve picked up and dropped the habit 3 times now.

>Vape: For pathetic morons who think it makes them look cool but can’t live without nicotine. Still weak minded dolts living with chemical dependence.

I hope you don’t consume caffeine.

Well done.
I’ll be going on ten years next May 23.
Upgraded to Kangartech devices last year.

How are they on the coils?
I ask because I use Aspire which ends up costing me I dunno 20 bucks a week buying a thing of liquid and new coils.

The first coil for my model lasted about four months.

Yeah. That’s what I said: WOW!!

I change mine about every two weeks now.

Here’s the model:

BTW, I wouldn’t order from Kangartech. Their shipping takes forever.
Check to see if any of your local ecig shops carry their products.

Four months! Wow!

I started by buying basically the throw away type of vapes from like a 7-11. Got fed up with the low amount of charge the battery would hold, so switched to Aspire.

Now I have a bunch of batteries and a bunch of fluid receptacles, all of which are fading so I am looking for something more permanent.

Thanks!

Some tips:

Make sure that your tank is easy to remove and clean. Some models have part of the tank behind the housing of the computer’s frame so you wouldn’t be able to get a good grip on it to unscrew it. You should be able to get your hand completely around your tank to take it off.

Steer clear of custom batteries made by the vaping companies. Make sure the unit runs on a common battery (Mine uses an 18650). Also, I use 3 batteries that I rotate between the charger, pocket and ecig. The 18650 will last over 12 hours for me. Let them run completely empty of charge before swapping it out to charge it back up.

Get a spare atomizer/coil setup. If you have one in your ecig and are thinking about changing your atomizer, just pop in a new atomizer on your clean and empty tank and let it sit. It takes about 5-10 minutes for the atomizer to fully saturate with fluid for use, and you won’t be without an ecig for that period of time.

Occasionally, completely disassemble and wash your tank setup in a small plastic container with warm distilled water and 2 drops of dish detergent, then rinse about six times in the same container with distilled water. Let the pieces dry separately for a couple of days, and they’ll be like new. Always use distilled water to prevent rust and corrosion.

I remember you "borrowing" a Marlboro from me in Ft. Collins at one of fivetoes' rallies.

Now that you've quit, (and so have I), how are you going to pay me back? Huh? HUH?

I guess you could send cash. What does a single cig cost nowadays? 3-4 dollars?

I'm kidding, of course. Congratulations on quitting.

And I sure miss fivetoes.

Not even the same thing. You don’t see me sucking caffeine all day or in inappropriate times, or every day, or standing out in the cold consuming it, or every few minutes.

I've heard no negative reports from people who are using it to cut down or quit smoking; only many positive ones.

I'm not a smoker and I'm not going to get into the "smoker vs. non-smoker" crap here, I just wanted to address your point above.

I don't know anyone who "used to" smoke that's used vaping to actually quit smoking in total. When I say that, I mean they vaped for awhile and then quit vaping.

I don't know anyone who's done that. It seems to me that vaping is just substituting one method of getting something into your lungs (cigarettes) for another (vaping.)

Truth is that neither the substances from cigarettes or vaping belong in your lungs in the first place.

I get it, smoking is an addiction as much mental (hand to mouth) as it is physical (nicotine.) That's my basis for saying vaping is just substituting one habit for another.

Good luck to you all.

Of course it’s the same thing. Both are cognitive enhancement drugs. Both are habit forming and addictive. You’re objecting to it because the left has made nicotine consumption low status thus like a good little robot you dump on it even when it’s consumed in fairly harm free ways.

I’ve quit vaping multiple times. It’s not hard. I’ve smoked cigars for years and quit smoking them without any issues. There’s something about cigarettes that makes them extra addictive to most people.

By your logic then caffeine doesn’t belong in you body. However we’ve discovered that mild stimulants like caffeine and nicotine are both pleasurable and useful in daily life. You’re free to be puritanical holier than thou about it, but no one likes a holier than thou jerk.

How do you figure that? Our digestive system is designed by our creator to ingest and process many types of foods and liquids. Obviously some foods (raw, unprocessed) easier than others (refined/highly processed foods which are NOT good for us.)

As our hearts were designed to do one thing: pump blood throughout our body to sustain life, our lungs were similarly designed to do one thing: breathe in air, a life sustaining element and exhale Carbon Dioxide.

However we’ve discovered that mild stimulants like caffeine and nicotine are both pleasurable and useful in daily life.

At the end of the day, just because we can shove a bunch of crap in our stomachs and lungs doesn't mean we should. I should no sooner eat a three pound bag of potato chips in a day than I should smoke a pack of cigarettes. The human body wasn't designed to process either.

You’re free to be puritanical holier than thou about it, but no one likes a holier than thou jerk.

True that. Nor was I trying to be one, apologies if you thought I was coming off that way, that was the furthest thing from my intent.

That's all the chemicals the cigarette companies put in them that they know are highly addictive and at the same time are carcinogenics. The in effect "spike" the cigarettes so you're literally hooked after the first few.

A woman I briefly dated about two months had quit smoking 30 years prior to my meeting her. I don't recall how we got on the topic of smoking after dinner one night however she mentioned she still missed her after dinner smoke after all these years. That's a powerful addiction indeed.

I've been off the cigarettes for 13 years now and the only time I get a craving is when I see someone smoke on the screen at a movie theater. I'm so glad I quit, except I find it hard to breath through my nose since I did.

I don’t see what the big deal is about quitting smoking.

It’s easy.

I did it dozens of times.
