(CNN) -- More than a dozen cases of Enterovirus D68 have been confirmed in New York state, according to officials. "EV-D68 is causing cases of severe respiratory illness ... sometimes resulting in hospitalization, especially among children with asthma," the NYS Department of Health said in a statement Friday. Enteroviruses are quite common in September; the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates 10 to 15 million people are infected by these viruses each year. But doctors believe this particular type of enterovirus, Enterovirus D68, is causing more serious problems than others have in years past. As of September 11, more than 80 cases in six other states -- Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri -- have been confirmed to be EV-D68, according to the CDC.

New York which has a HUGE illegal population, encouraged, supported and promoted relentlessly by billionaire Mike Bloomberg while he was in office which so far has cost many New Yorkers their lives.
It’s happening in the Albany/upstate area. It hasn’t hit the NYC area ...yet.
Good thing FEMA has those quarantine camps and 10x plastic graves ready to roll!
Gee... Think it may have come from south of the (open) border?
Ping...
Thanks for the ping!
Plague, pestilence, earthquakes, and war.
Death should be here shortly.
Well...Clown Prince child invaders have served their purpose.
I’m not really sure this has anything to do with illegals. But it is bad. And it is bad that it is in NY, which is closer to my grandbaby.
There was a center for the surge children near Albany, if I remember right.
Gee..... with all these kids getting sick, that huge deductible on Obamacare is going to be pretty profitable for the medical industry and the government.
Wait until Ebola strikes.
Is it reasonable to assume that once the colder weather sets in, these and similar viruses will likely spread quickly?
Teaching public school is becoming a hazardous job it seems. If I were the company writing their health insurance I would up those premiums pronto.
I called SouthWest Airlines one night (they were the “go-to airline” for dispersing these petri-dishes of disease throughout America.)
I asked if my relative should book on another airline, as I had heard they transported these illegals throughout the nation without proof of medical aid beforehand and I feared for my relative’s health flying on SouthWest Airlines.
The SouthWest ticket agent said she’d heard nothing about transporting illegals.
I said maybe I should URGE my relative to make arrangements for travel through another airline.
The ticket agent then said she KNEW “they had had their shots.”
Hmmmmmm.
Don’t leave your homes. Hope you have food stocked up.
Then you are smarter and more discerning than 90% of the people on these threads.
There seems to be a remarkable amount of leaping to conclusions that there is a connection between the illegal “children” and this particular disease. Yet I’ve seen no evidence at all to that effect.
And they say white people can’t jump!
I also called a radio station that hosted my Governor who said he was uninformed as to the amount of illegals being transported to our state.
Later, it was reported locally that he had knowledge far before their actual arrival date that they were coming.
He LIED to the citizens of our state on air.
When I spoke to the call screener at the radio show that hosted him, I exchanged words with the call screener concerning the backlash the Governor might expect when American children came home from the schools infected with scabies, bacterial pneumonia, lice and tuberculosis; ailments seen in illegal children by border agents.
The call screener told me that the “kids had had their innoculations”; I asked how they could have had innoculations for diseases that had incubation periods of possibly two weeks when they were transported within two DAYS of arrival in the United States.
I was quickly cut off by the call screener, as he “had a contest going on”... and he hung up on me.
I have a relative that is a teacher.
My relative takes meds that compromise their immune system.
I asked if there were any “illegals” in their class this year.
There is a child from the Congo.
My relative asked how long he’s been in the country at the start of school.
The child said 2 months. 2 months is barely time for some ailments to incubate.
Do you have a loved one in such a situation?
Do you have children in public school?
