Not hardly GHWB left Saddam in power and abandoned the Kurds after he encouraged them to revolt.
After they finish laughing
Just go home to Kenya, Obama.
That bottom picture will become prophetic pretty soon I think.
I have long said that America has to feel enough pain before it changes course. And it’s not the left that I’m talking about. They are what they have always been and always will be. An enemy of America and the ideals it was founded on. It’s the right that has to rechart it’s course and take the helm.
Palin could well have been sitting in Obama’s chair today. But many on the right, and right here on FR spent literally years slamming her, lying about her, her family and anyone that had anything to do with her. They sided with the GOP, who along with Romney operatives helped to ensure Palin would never sit in that chair.
Then all the useful idiots followed the GOP right down the Romney hole. Sarah Palin, whose track record places her in the top percentile of conservatives was scorned and Mitt Romney, a man of which no conservative action in or out of office can be found, was and IS backed.
No, it’s not the left that is America’s biggest problem. Every country on earth throughout history always has a version of them. The problem comes from the people who are SUPPOSED to be their counter when they do everything but ‘counter’. And until people wake the freep up and accept it, there will be pain. More of it every time ‘Cheshire conservatives like Rand Paul go on TV and support Obama’s assertions of what is and isn’t ‘islam’, every time JonBon and Mitch sign another continuing resolution giving Barry more funding for the IRS and arms to ISIS and every time we cut America’s throat keeping them in office.
I am forever awed by how smart the modern ‘right winger’ is today. So much smarter than the founders who told us not to keep the enemy in our own camp. Who warned us against abandoning principle. I guess we should feel truly blessed living in a time when such giants stride the earth. Because eventually, when their self inflicted actions turn that picture into our reality, we will long for the days we sat here arguing about it and wonder WTF was wrong with us, that we turned such a blind eye to the obvious.
>ISIS has plenty of local enemies who are more than willing to kill every last one of them.<
.
You are so right.
But the ISIS agents inside our country will have plenty of soft targets, and their numbers are growing through local recruitment.
We already know of many home grown terrorists who were willing to travel to Syria to fight the infidels.
In the future, they will not have to travel far in order to kill unbelievers and create havoc inside the country.
The “optics” appeared poor last night. I only saw the last 5 minutes, but that set sure didn’t appear too real. Wonder why he wasn’t giving speech from location reported. If that video was live and in the WH, then they wasted a lot more of our money making it look fake.
Well, as far as I know, our objective in attacking Iraq was to get Iraq out of Kuwait. We won at least in the sense that we achieved that objective. As far as I know our objective going in was not to overturn the Iraq government, but get Iraq out of Kuwait.
Is it up to the United States to invade oppressive regimes? No IMO. Sharp intelligence, support of freedom fighters, and clear purpose to stand against invasion of other countries by oppressive regimes - those are the means IMO for the U.S. to deal with oppressive regimes. As far as I’m concerned we are out of bounds invading a country unless a direct attack or clear and present danger of an imminent attack to the U.S.
So, IMO, after 9-11, the invasion of Afghanistan was justified becasue of Osama B-L, but not the invasion of Iraq. Nevertheless, I think we did win the Desert Storm II in Iraq, muddled policy notwithstanding.
“But the ISIS agents inside our country will have plenty of soft targets, and their numbers are growing through local recruitment.”
Probably so. Both Dubya and Barky spouted the ‘Islam is a Religion of Peace’ lie and have done nothing to halt Muslim immigration into the USA. The ‘moderate Muslim’ population will be the sea that Islamic terrorists swim in.
There have been pro-Islamic agents of influence inside the GOP since Dubya was running for President. And he gave them a lot of what they asked for. No profiling of Arabs at airports (Clinton had been doing it). Recognizing Religion of Peace holidays. Issuing an EID stamp. Good old Dubya, our first Muzzie President.
It would be nice to have someone as president who is 100% supported of the USA. Not looking to help insiders make deals with people here or overseas for their benefit.
The only one I see out there who might fit the bill is Jeff Sessions. And I’ve never seen evidence that he would take the job.
You want to maintain national security?
Get rid of them (Muslims), all of them
You want to play by the rules and protect them as per our First Amendment?
Then be prepared to ride the whirlwind and get ready for an interminable domestic war like they have in the Philippines.
The choice is up to Congress.
Correction, the choice is up to the American people.
That is because it is pretty much expected of Glorious Leader.
My guess is it won’t get done. And we’ll have that domestic terror war.
Of course.
I believe I read that Homeland Security has started monitoring local Lutheran churches to monitor local recruitment and radicalization.
It was Lutheran churches, wasn't it?
They’d better look around the Catholic communities where there are peaceful, moderate and militant papists, and they should definitely not overlook the Knights of Columbus with their uniforms and swords.
