What we have is a spoiled Federal Government, 47% on the dole, spoiled state and local governments and taxation on pretty much everything. I would be doing just fine if my pay check wasn't shredded by taxes.
And you want to call other people "spoiled"?? If the rest of us did not have to feed fedzilla (evidently picking up your share too), we would be doing great too.
Do you think that any of that has to do with a Democrat president and Congress?
We were in the middle east for ONLY five years with that salary. Then we came home. So it's not like we lived that life forever.
When we got home NO ONE wanted to hire my straight, white, middle-aged engineer husband. He was over qualified, male, middle-ages (oh no, GRAY HAIR). The V.P.s who interviewed him KNEW that he could step into their shoes in a heartbeat.
My husband had over 350 letters of "no thanks, we don't want to hire you."
We did well BECAUSE we had the education, BECAUSE we were willing to live on the "dark side of the moon" for a while and BECAUSE we made good decisions with our money. There were no free rides.
YOU TOO could have the same and be doing well .
1. Get an engineering degree in petroleum or mechanical engineering; and
2. be prepared to live at the ends of the earth for a few years.
NO FREE RIDES. We earned every dollar we made, including your share, which, I DOUBT, would have measured up to the $tandard$ we were used to.
But, THANKS for cryin' and whinin' about it. Makes me remember all about the cry babies moaning about the gas prices while they drove their big cars, trucks, suburbans and station wagons.
