Oh wow, that was my favorite JB movie. I saw it when it was first in the theaters when I was a kid, it blew me away. Well God rest his soul.

That is sad. RIP big guy.

I met him at my first Dragoncon years and years ago. I’m 6’3 250ish and I shook his hand and it was like an adult grasping a toddler’s.

A few visits to DC later and he was getting around on a scooter. No surprise with him as big as he was and having problems.

I remember him most from the “To Serve Man” episode of Twilight Zone. May he rest in peace.

Didn’t Clint Eastwood smack him in the crotch in High Plains Drifter?

11-13 is the best age range. At least it used to be. “Live and Let Die” blew me away at age 11. I saw it recently, and it’s pretty amusing. A lot of intentional and unintentional humor. It had the best Bond theme song, at least.

Many really large people seem to have some form of genetic disability or some sort of physical problems.

I don’t think he did, he was just large.

I don’t doubt it. Never saw the movie. Didn’t know about the car accident either.

He seemed like a super nice fellow. We talked for a couple minutes.

Loved what his shirt said in Happy Gilmore, “Guns’ don’t kill people, I kill people.”

He was born in Jesup, Georgia. A small town in the SE part of the state.
