Actually, TN is pretty bad off despite what you believe. It has the 8th worst unemployment rate in the country. GA, KY and MS are even worse and AL is close to TN. Whether or not you realize it, a lot of Southerners are in desperate times.

Hum. The company my daughter works at hired a convicted felon on probation the other day. You'd think with jobs so scarce they would be more picky. IOW no shortage of jobs or workers. Companies in my area are expanding and others moving in. New construction housing is being seen now also. Not near the rate before the market bust though.

Twenty twenty five years ago only one Industrial Park was on my end of the county. Today three more exist. West Tennessee may be different as there are more rural counties there than here and Tennessee does have a few counties with high unemployment rates like Scott County. Those living in rural and remote counties understand to work you likely have an hour drive one way.

A lot of history is out there most of it never published.

I've noticed this also in my travels. You hear quiet interesting tales of how a community once was and what happened to it, but there is never a mention in history about it. Sometimes just a glancing reference to is is all you get. I first noticed this in the military, some pivotal military actions, with clear-cut heroes, never get mentioned except maybe in an after-action report that may or may not get written and filed. History really does depend on who is writing it.

Appomattox and muslims?! Well I guess that’s not surprising these days, the new Freedom Tower has a minaret on top of it. When the SHTF we’ll see if the South rises again. I think it will, for a time at least, because it’s the only entity equipped to survive.

Here's the way I look at it.

The top military leaders of both the Army of the United States of America, and the breakaway Army of the Confederate States of America, were both deeply Christian, Bible-believing men.

At night, they both got on their knees, whether it was in the officer's quarters on the field of battle or as politcal leaders in the capitals of both Washington, D.C. and Richmond, VA.

And they both sincerely, simultaneously prayed to Christ Jesus for the Victory.

And at the end of the day, the Lord had His Word and gave His judgment, and answered the prayers of one side, rejecting those of the other.

Unfortunately, but I believe it to be a fact, despite decent men and women on both sides of the division, and honored war dead who wore either the Blue or the Grey.

End. Of. Story.

'Sides, we got much bigger fish to fry now 139 years later what with Muslims coming out of the woodwork everywhere, beheading every Christian in sight. Let's all focus on the present and the future anywho.

Well. we're all armed around here, so a gun bests a head-chopper every time.

But there's a paramilitary Muslim compound nearby in Red House called "Muslims of America." From what I've read, they're seeded around the U.S. and were started by a known terrorist. Don't know what weapons they might have.
