(CNN) -- Police have identified those involved in an incident in which the ice bucket challenge trend was used to trick an autistic teenager into being drenched with a bucket of urine, feces and spit.
Authorities are not yet releasing the names, and are not discussing potential charges as the investigation is not yet complete, said Bay Village, Ohio, Police Chief Mark Spaetzel.

Kids today can no longer police themselves by kicking each other’s butts. Zero tolerance policies on fighting are contributing to this sort of behavior. Back in the day, coaches used to instruct their players to stand up for the weak.
Kids care most about what other kids think. Take butt kicking away and this becomes less prevalent and effective.
These creeps’ names will eventually come out, and make it on to the internet. The scrutiny, and all that comes with it, is probably going to be worse than anything the court system will be able to dole out as legal punishment. I would not be surprised if the perpetrators of this horrible act end up being completely shunned in their school and their community (and rightly so) for years to come.
A horse whipping sounds like a fine measure, though. A little extra incentive to make sure the lesson of not being a Rotten Little SOB is learned properly.

Either that or just horsewhip them.
With the courts these days on kids “pranks” they’ll just get, maybe, ten hours of community service. And the relatives of the kid just might show more concern.

It'll be interesting to see what the charges are. Bay Village is an elite place, so it will be interesting to see if they actually throw the book at their young folk.
I read somewhere that assault would be appropriate, since the contents of that pail could cause illness. Another possibility is to charge them with gang activity and lock them up in juvie until they're 18.
Should be interesting.
As the parent of an autistic child, I’m not sure I could control myself if this happened to my kid.
In the school where I work, bodily fluid is considered a highly toxic substance and carrier of infectious diseases.
Maybe the instigators should be turned over to the victim's family.

Would it have been the newer, less elite population that are the perps? Or the established residents? That should be an interesting dynamic.
