I’ve been to Yellowstone AT LEAST half a dozen times and I’ve been to many volcanoes. Yellowstone is NO VOLCANO - there’s no mountain. Just more of the liberals trying to SCARE people.

The “mountain”, from the three times it’s erupted in the last two million years, is scattered all over the western US.

True there is no mountain.

The mountain wases high and blown miles high at the last eruption.

The mountain and a bunch of stuff that came out of the eruption spread over the Western US.

Now there is a fifty mile wide caldera is where it used to be.

You don’t need to have a mountain to have a volcano. All you need is a hotspot where light, hot, molten rock from the mantle rises toward the surface. It’s under a lot, a LOT of pressure. If it blows out hard enough, the upsurging material that would otherwise make the “mountain” gets scattered over a wide area. Like, 15 states.

Yellowstone is NO VOLCANO

That is correct. Yellowstone is a CALDERA. Which is much worse.

It’s a caldera. That’s the part inside the “mountain.” The issue is that it’s so big that when you are there, you cannot see it.

Of course Yellowstone is not a volcano, it is a caldera something like 30 miles across. And of course Toba is not a volcano either, just a giant caldera and lake, 18 y 65 miles. But heaven help us if either of these non volcanoes blows again big time.
