My ice cream freezer isn’t a Salton, but it operates the same way. When I wash the canister and paddle, I put them in the freezer. It will freeze down to -5 and no farther. And since I drink whole milk, anyway, my only extra purchase was the half & half.

Oh! So good and creamy! I’ve never gone beyond French vanilla, but that’s because of the diet I’m on. However, when I’ve lost more weight, I’ll make some as a treat. Maybe chocolate...

Enjoy the fruits of your labor!

That kind of gizmo makes EXCELLENT ice cream! As good or better than any I ever made by the rock salt and strong arm method.

And it only takes 35 minutes.

I’m up, finally. Another rough night.

And the S-L-O-W-s have me in their grasp. It will take a long time for me to get anything done today.

Maybe I’ll sit and knit for a while...

But not yet.

I would love to learn how to knit and crochet. Thanks for the idea, I’m going to see if I can find an adult Ed course that teaches it.

I’d love to make a granny square blanket for some family members this Christmas.

Knitting is easier than crochet, but both are gratifying when you see the finished project. You can knit a “granny square” blanket without too much trouble.

Let me know how you do with that, OK? Even a library might have a DVD of lessons for one or both.

Thank You. Will also keep in my heart wherever go. Thank You so much for same! Will send to another kept in my heart. Is perfect to send another kept in my heart. Sometimes one’s spirit needs a hand up. This, I believe, will lift another’s spirit also. Great Deed Face, and will pass to another needing a spirit lift.

Dang ... that’s trouble and I’m not a leader. Not Good ... Not Good at all. Guess am more comfortable not being chased anytime cause the dogs from what am remembering told the fox, hey we’re here to help you. The government takes that tact too ... Scary ... LOL

Disappear isn't safe either but sometimes one thinks transparency works. Guess that is why there is so little to no transparency on planet Earth, the Solar System and this Universe. God played a trick? One prays not. Need to be quiet though and not be philosophical cause someone might think someone said something and I know Nothing. Spent the last three hours (nearly) talking with another individual I love in Australia and we decided ... Well there is Water but most transparent liquids beyond water could hold dangers and then too water could be deceptive and having been doctored could also be lethal. But that was not a part of our discussion (smile). Something different was discussed and was not a matter of life and death. Thank Goodness this person is all over the issue because the distance makes it impossible for me to help. Paperwork, I hate paperwork. Don't worry anyone. Even I do not have a clue what am discussing. SOP

Woohoo, I’m back from the wilds of backwoods Wingate with the Silver Bullet, all working brakelights and turn signals and inspected. And I’ve added it to our insurance. It didn’t look too crowded at the license plate office in Monroe when we went by; maybe I can get over there in the early afternoon one day next week.

Umm... Mrs. NoC knows how to crochet - my Grandmother taught her. Whether or not she would be into tutorials I don't know, and if you're not in, say, Sussex county the travel time would be long...

;-)

On a sad note, those of you who know RedMDer from, say the FReepathon threads know that his wife Lynn has been ill for some time. News arrived here this morning that Lynn passed away last evening.

Prayers for RedMDer and his family are certainly in order.

YAY!!!

If you have to go on a weekday, try Wednesday or Thursday. Mornings are better, but if you time it right and get there around 1100, you miss the lunch crowd.

Weigh day, and I lost 4.2 lubs.

Not good, but at least I didn’t stay the same or gain. I think my problem is the amount of carbs I’m eating. I’ve had two low-blood sugar episodes since I started the diet, so I need to use some of my points in mini-meals rather than three meals a day. Otherwise, I’ll be stuck in a rut.

Now, of course, I’m depressed, and will have to start all over buying food, making sure to get the protein in there for the mini-meals. *sigh*

Don’t be depressed - over four pounds is excellent, especially with all you’ve been going through. That’s an average of more than 5 lbs. per week, right?

More protein, fewer carbs. Don’t forget eggs!

I’ve decided to skip the gym today and get some paperwork done for church, so I’d better go do it!

I’ve got a few eggs left, but I’m out of cheese, cottage cheese and other things that go with fruit and or salads, so I’ll just make another LIST! My life is full of lists!

My first week was so encouraging. But I will keep at it. As long as I make my ultimate goal of 40 pounds I can hang in there.
