Jim, thanks for all you do. Sometimes- Just sometimes, you must choose the good and be practical.
Case in point, here in california we had the only debate between crazy train and brown streak. I admit, ideolgy wise donelly was more conservative. But he had no chance against brown. Kaskari is not a conservative, but is worlds better than brown.
Kaskari beat brown in the debate so bad that im shure jerry had his prsonal brown streak after he crapped his pants. In a state a liberal as this one, kashkari has a chance, donnely had none.
Will you support kashkari for 80% or brown with 0% of what we want?
If my vote is so damn important to the GOP then they had better run candidates who aren’t ideologically indistinguishable from their opponents.
Like they did with forcing Romney down our throats.
Romney had many of his positions as Massachusetts governor cribbed by Obama.
It has got to be embarrassing to lose an election to a guy who stole your ideas (Romneycare/Obamacare) and positions on everything.
(Gun bans, homomarriage, higher taxes, etc)
That’s just the way it is, and was.
Many people seem deluded into thinking Romney was some great conservative, or that the republicans would somehow hold his feet to the fire -despite all evidence to the contrary in their current behavior towards Obama.
Brown wins. No way Kaskari wins in CA.
And all you have done is to encourage the GOP to keep moving left, by rewarding them with a vote.
Sometimes, you just have to take a longer view than the next election.
