Has anybody else noticed that Laura Ingraham has NOT been part of ABC's This Week Roundtable for about 2 months? Why? My guess is that Laura is actually too good in her observations and this upsets the liberal panelists. In particular Cokie Roberts. I notice that whenever Laura is present, Cokie Roberts looks like she is about to explode.
Or is there another reason for her absence that I'm missing?
That, and she can't seem to stop talking about herself. She once had a doctor on to talk about sleep disorders and kept steering the conversation to her and her sleep problems and what she does at night to get to sleep and her, her, her.
I used to enjoy Andrea’s radio show. She grew up not far from me.
Laura Ingraham has succumbed to the “all about me” radio personality thing-—eventually they all do... Can’t listen to her anymore.
Laura’s a brilliant, eloquent, valiant conservative warrior. But why can’t the wealthy, attractive blond pundit find a husband and father for her three kids? We conservatives tell lesbians that every family needs a father. So does the Ingraham family.
At any rate, she's a very stable individual and is undoubtedly doing exactly what conservative mothers also do so well, spending time with the kids for a while, instead of 365 days a year in the media rat-race away from them.
We'll be seeing more of her again after Labor Day. you can rest assured.

ditto. I spend lots of time listening to Laura....the most talented, quickest, and funniest radio talent I've ever heard. I'm also a longtime participant of FR Sunday morning News Show thread as we want to know what the enemy is plotting. Laura was on ABC This Week 4-6 weeks ago...I remember Bob Woodward on that particular show. She's been on the Fox version twice since, iirc.
As for a husband; she was briefly engaged, but (pure speculation) is probably too eccentric for most men. There's lots of idiosynracies she can't tolerate. I love her, but she'd drive me crazy. As for male role models, I believe her kids get a dose from her close neighbors (Chuck) and others. I also know she lets her kids get away with murder, so they're lacking some of the discipline that might come from a dad in the house.

As I recall, the engagement with “Jimmy” was broken around the time her breast cancer was discovered. Because this thread is awash in so many dubious conspiracy theories, we may as well speculate about a link between the cancer and the broken engagement.
Such absences are often (usually?) about the money. Her agent may be driving a hard bargain that ABC is reluctant to accept. Wouldn’t surpise me a bit.
You are correct...it may have had a lot or a little to do with it. And, I repeat, I know nothing for sure.
All I know is that whenever I see Laura, I only remember that she repeatedly bashed one of the greatest Conservatives of our time in Sarah Palin.
“lets her kids get away with murder.” Too bad for her, too bad for them. I hope they don’t cause her big problems in the wild teen years.
Without a father in the house, Laura’s like the great one himself, Rush Limbaugh. Four times married, Rush cannot seriously talk about the breakdown of the American family — the root of decay in our society.
