Thanks for this well-informed, well thought out reply. Yes, I definitely agree about the “incredible mass of humanity coming of age, aka the Baby Boomers”. This is most likely the smoking gun. I have been thinking about it a lot this weekend. That was the tidal wave. The commies, pinkos, activists, peace-niks, flower children were all just swept along in that population tsunami. They didn’t create it, they just rode it for all it was worth. Unfortunately, theirs is the lasting legacy.
I think you are being a little hard on Tull. They had some good moments. There are a lot more egregious examples of corporate rock out there.

That on a Thread about someone passing away it turns into a “that music sucks” argument.
If you don’t like that kind of music fine don’t listen to it and don’t hop on a thread and start telling people what is or isn’t “good music”.
Personally I can’t stand “rap and hip-hop” so I choose not to listen to it or comment on it.
This Country has way bigger problems than music.
Glad I could help;)
Don’t forget that other long haired hippie Ted Nugent.
Nuge was a huge hippie.
Cat Scratch Fever.
Did he also do Wango Tango?
