Its when the skirt of the piston collides with the lower cylinder wall near the end of the intake stroke, making a click.
It usually means that the piston was fitted too loose, but it also can be caused by extreme wear, usually around 300K miles.

Or it could be something quite grievous, like even life threatening, if the cash is the only thing that will work, and you don’t have it.

I don’t carry cash because I want to jack up my points on my AMEX ....
If cash is needed it is on my debit card....
ATM’s machines are everywhere....
Even my barber has one....
i have a $300 emergency fund in my wallet not counting my usual spending money. that does remind me though i will put more in my 2 gun box safes.
