Update for the list:
He has pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas) and pericarditis (inflammation of the sack around the heart muscle).
Now they’re saying that he didn’t have a ‘heart attack’ but he had a ‘cardiac event’.
The difference is this. A ‘heart attack’ means that the blood vessles feeding the heart were blocked. A ‘cardiac event’ means that the heart is struggling and was damaged, but it’s not because of the blood vessels that feed the heart.
To a civilian, that’s not a big difference. It looks and feels all the same and the end result can be the same. Cardiac enzymes are elevated because the heart is damaged and in distress.
Apparently, it’s a huge difference the the medicals.
They still don’t know why.
Praying for your son’s complete recovery and for the Peace of Christ for you, him and the rest of the family.
Thank you for the update, Marie.. May I ask his first name, so that my prayer for him will be more personal?
I’ve had pericarditis. It can be a complicated diagnosis, but since he is under medical care, they should be able to get it under control. And good that they caught the pancreatitis, too. Prayers that all can be treated and reversed.
Praise God that it wasn’t a heart attack. Please keep us informed.
Prayers for you and for your son. So happy to hear that he has a diagnosis, and now the docs can chart the correct course to return him to perfect health.
Alcohol may not be his friend
something to consider. Three beers seems a lot. Some people cannot tolerate that much.
