I semi-agree with Jericho, but it was devolving into a soap-opera-ish series. Maybe it died when it should have.

Maybe it died when it should have. I think you're right that they killed Jericho when they should have, but only because their lack of imagination doomed it. There was a lot that they could have done with the premise - if they really wanted to.
