One of the best things Weird Al does is to parody the Artist when he creates his work. A “wardrobe malfunction” not in the terms of what has happened but a parody of supposed “wardrobe malfunction” would be one of the better things could add to his show at the Super Bowl. For the humor and cleverness Weird Al brings to the table, that would be a show I would watch, record and if it was up to his standards keep. On the other hand if the NFL gets too overbearing on his show, should he have one, then Al needs to walk away singing (from one of his better songs and my all time fav break up song) “I’d rather jump naked into a pool of double edged razor blades then spend one more minute with you...”

You want a half-time show that the whole family can watch and enjoy, bring on King George - George Strait!

Anyone else and I will do this year, exactly what I have done the last four years - get snacks, take a quick nap and/or throw the football around with the kids.

He was offered a multi-million dollar deal from a major beer manufacturer but turned it down because he said that most of his fans aren't old enough to legally drink beer.

Gotta like him for that.

Weird Al, has promoted his career by seeking approval from every musician he spoofs.

That is what I like about Weird Al. He has written many parody songs and always sends them to the original artist to get their approval before releasing them to the public.

For a guy with some serious writing talent and mediocre singing talent, carefully packaged for a "market niche," he really is a smart, savvy, businessman - with lots of respect for the very people and business that he parodies!

Saw him in Nashville this past March. Best concert I have ever been to. Best of the ten or eleven Strait shows I have attended in my life too.

I've loved Weird Al's work since I was a kid - "Another One Rides The Bus", "Yoda" (sung to "Lola"), "Eat It" - the man's a genius and I bless Dr. Demento for having introduced me to Weird Al and his accordion.

That said, he's too small-time for the Super Bowl - at this point the NFL is thinking about charging major stars like Coldplay to perform at the Super Bowl half-time show.

Still, it'd be fun to see and hear...."I haven't been in a crowd like this since I went to see The Who".

I did everything I could to get my hands on two tickets for his “Cowboy Rides Away” Tour, but I think I had a better chance of getting 50-yardline Super Bowl tickets!

There was not a single person who was willing to part with their tickets - regardless of the price I offered! IT SUCKED!

I only saw him in concert once, back in 1988 - it was awesome then, so I can only imagine how great a concert with all of his 50+ #1 hits scattered throughout the show would have been!!

I bought a pair of tickets off Stubhub for over $400, but it was worth every penny of it.

He got on the stage at nine and told us he hoped we were in no hurry to go nowhere, because it 11:30 when he left the stage. He did over 35 songs and 3 duets with Kenny Chesney, Eric Church and Cheryl Crow. My wife and I are so glad we did it, it was one for the ages. It’s on youtube, and I hope they release a DVD for his last concert at Jerry’s house.

Some of Weird Al’s fans are old enough to drink beer. I’m 65, been listening ever since “I Love Rocky Road”, and love his sendup of “Royals” (”Aluminum Foil”) which segues into his exposing the Illuminati, after which he is tranked & dragged away.

LOL!

Weird Al used to play summer shows at the old Station Square Ampitheatre here in Pittsburgh, a tentlike structure that put one in mind of Oktoberfest with all the beer a-flowin.

Sadly it is gone. Replaced by a minor-league soccer stadium.

I agree no more RAP. And I grew up loving Rap. Pink Floyd is releasing a new album sometime in Oct. Want to Blow away the world (No pun intended) have Floyd do the Half time Show.

I’m for it. Weird Al would be a lot more entertaining than all those self-important stars we normally see. He’d be funny and has some great new parodies out now.

My daughter introduced me to Weird Al when she was in college. I lived through the 1970s absolutely hating rock music. But Al gave me an appreciation for it through his parodies. In fact, we got all his CDs and it made road trips a real bast.

But then, we would hear the original song that he had parodied and I would look at my better half and say, "Weird Al's version is much better than that.

"UHF" is one of my five movies I would want on a desert island.

Would fit perfectly, as the NFL is now a parody of a sport.
