My husband had a problem with his computer, caused by Google Chrome installing itself & he couldn’t get rid of it. He used a company called Omnitech for help. Finally gave up & bought a new computer (it was about time anyway). Well, this company calls us almost daily saying that our computer is sending out some sort of distress message & they want us to give them access so they can ‘fix’ it. But that computer is gone now. I wish that company could be so easily turned off!
I’m sorry that happened to you. But now you know that the majority of these on-line computer tech support companies are nothing but scammers.
