This does not mean that his ancestors lived in Ireland.

That was the primary conclusion but with more data they then said he was related to half of European males. I keep hoping for more European DNA studies.

With the movement of peoples westward over millennia, Ireland would be the end of the road until 1492.

I think there's pretty solid research proving a Levantine origin (with stops along the way, northern Iberia for one) for the Irish . . . or at least one wave of Irish settlers.
