I have no doubt there is money from SA citizens, but not the country. I would agree that Qatar, who funds Hamas, would probably be in line.
BUT....and this is important, ISIS is self funding now. They have grown and taken over such territory that they are self sufficient.
This means that even if they were being funded by the Gulf States, they don’t need them any more.

Just one more and will back away ... I completely believe qatar and saudi royals are funding isis. One has to remember how the saudi royals play both ends against the middle to buy themselves more time to hold power and saudi royals love for others to fight their wars. Armaments are coming from somewhere to isis. Yes, America left many armament behind in Iraq and isis is using them but that is not all the armaments isis has obtained. libya? Egypt before moslem brotherhood was removed? qatar? saudis? obama? Looks to be armaments have come from each. Wonder how many more are supplying isis?
