I'm ok with that, if it's the judgement of the court.
I'm not big on extrajudicial punishments, since I'm for the rule of law.

However, I also recognize that when people lose confidence in the official courts then they will turn to other methods for justice that do not involve the rule of law.
It is in the best interest of civilization that laws be few, judgment equable and swift and the punishment fit the crime.
We seem to be drifting quickly into a time when laws are many, judgment twisted and delayed and the punishment totally out of balance with the crime.
This is, IMHO, dangerous.
