Shooting victim fighting for life as police use tear gas to impose curfew...
Daily Mail ^

One person was shot and seven people arrested early this morning as police used smoke and tear gas to impose a curfew following the killing of an unarmed black teenager.

Officers are seeking the person who shot the critically-wounded victim after the 12am-5am curfew took hold in Ferguson, Missouri - eight days after Michael Brown, 18, was shot dead by police.

Police said their strong response came after people broke into a restaurant and took position on the roof overlooking officers, while another man flashed a handgun as armoured vehicles approached.

A few notes:

1. Officers didn't shoot tear gas. They fired 'smoke grenades' near the crowd.

2. It says police seek 'person of interest' in the shooting. So it wasn't police shoot a rioter. Did the person shoot a fellow rioter? Media? Police? Unknown.

The big news from last night was this:

http://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3193706/posts

Grand jury coming up regarding the shooting.

One black media guy (CNN I believe it was) stated there were 40 FBI agents canvassing the area. 40!

That’s for the Civil Rights charges that can follow up if the regular murder charges against the officer don’t stick.

Grand jury fails to indict or found not guilty? Send in the tanks.

CNN two nights ago was in the looted liquor store. NONE of that footage taken war aired. The looting footage really damages the political spin on this.

IMHO, Zimmerman was timed as is this to fire up the political base for November. Turnout was expected to be super low. Now it’s, “Don’t become another victim. Go vote!”

another man flashed a handgun as armoured vehicles

Is that a magic handgun that would effective against armored vehicles, or a symbol of how much that other man does not understand about the real world?

I will never understand why we are supposed to be understanding of rioting, just because the rioters are a certain ethnicity.

From the Watts riots of ‘65 on through today, liberals put forth excuse after excuse why the anger of blacks is understandable.

The Watts riots were triggered by an alleged act of police brutality. I believe the riots of ‘67 in Detroit were triggered for the same reason.

And all of the riots in many cities in 1968 were triggered by the death of Martin Luther King.

The Rodney King riots were triggered due to a verdict in a trial of police accused of brutality.

How do these protesters, allegedly protesting an unjust killing of a black young man, justify mayhem and looting to protest that action?

Why is it ok with liberals for blacks to have all this rage and express this rage in rioting? Not that liberals approve of rioting as such, but liberals make excuses for the rioting. Liberals will not condemn rioting as an absurd response to the events they allegedly are upset about.

Liberals only have a problem with Tea Party riots while these are to be embraced.

Because the truth is not to the liberal-media critters liking.

Looter-Kind live for these “our people are victimized” situations to happen as an excuse to steal. They same people will be out taking five-finger discounts in natural catastrophic events or power outages as well.

Criminals they are.

Liberals live to make totally inane, ridiculous excuses for the looters.

Sort of a symbiotic relationship, helping each other, in a very sick way

I think it's part of what's been aptly described as "the soft bigotry of low expectations".

In the minds of liberals, black people have been so damaged that can't be expected to behave or perform as well as white people. So in liberal-think, they can be excused for indulging in savage behavior on occasion.

Wonder what condition Redzbbq.com is in today? Never ate there. Understand it was good place to eat and Red himself quite a legend in StL. Bet it was outsiders who trashed the place, if in fact, it was.

Yep, some of the bad images of Hurricane Katrina were of looting in New Orleans.

It still frustrates me that the liberals politicized a hurricane. Due to their allies in the media, they successfully blamed inept responses to Katrina on Bush and Republicans, even though the mayor of New Orleans and governor of Louisiana were both good Democrats. And in spite of legalities such as local officials having to make requests for disaster relief of federal officials through official channels.

A ‘note’:

Officers did fire tear gas, AND smoke grenades.

I was watching it live last night and the reporter had to don a gas mask. He didn’t get his googles on in time and his eyes started burning. He said it was TEARGAS.

On the POLICE SCANNER the dispatcher told the St Louis police who had been dispatched to help to DON THEIR GAS MASKS.

'BIG NEWS' from last night should have been that the Klan made it to the rally!

the CBS Bob Schafer Sunday talk show just reported the DOJ is going to have it's own autopsy done. They must know it doesn't show a shooting consistent with arms being in surrender position.

what a concept, dress a bunch of “demonstrators” as Klan, turn them loose on a sidestreet and watch the antics of peaceful protesters. Would they shoot first, or kick the suckas to death before they were unmasked?

Why aren’t the authorities salting the crowd with their own undercover officers and at a certain time take all these guys down at once.

It’s only a small core of rabble —

ENOUGH of the “unarmed teenager” propaganda.

There were 726 homicides committed in the USA in 2011 alone with hands, fists and feet, and the majority of those homicides were committed by young black males.

http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/ucr/crime-in-the-u.s/2011/crime-in-the-u.s.-2011/tables/expanded-homicide-data-table-11

A 6’4” 292-pound documented violent thug like Saint Michael would be more than willing and capable of killing a cop with his bare hands and Air Jordans.

They must know it doesn't show a shooting consistent with arms being in surrender position.

If the pathologist has enough sense to cover his behind he'll have a full-body NMR scan done of the corpse before he hands it over to the feds so he can prove they falsified evidence if they try.
