Basically, he was being considered for entry into a gang. Loyalty to the gang was to be valued above other considerations, such as the rights of the people with whom they would interact on the job.”

Did you ever think that just maybe your son’s friend got booted because he coudn’t cut the mustard? Many get weeded out of police academies during training for one reason or another. Of course if your friend’s son got booted, it would quite feasible that he blamed the PD and not himself.
