Night number FOUR of unrest in Ferguson, MO. There is a photo on drudge of a middle aged woman hit by a rubber bullet in the belly area. Huge bruise and abrasion. She is quoted as being a minister. Dear Leader played BOth sides if the issue yesterday, and probably inflamed BOTH sides even more.
I fear this is not going to end well.
Did you see what raccoonradio just posted about Disney and the predictions about the end of radio? The thread was just put up.
Morning! I don’t know what to think of all this. I thought I heard Levin (came in on the show as he was talking and mid-sentence) say that he heard that the young man who was shot was actually a very nice young man. I’m still trying to figure out - did they get to the bottom of what happened in the first place? Did the young man try to take the policeman’s gun? Why shoot rubber bullets at a middle-aged woman? And the police - armored vehicles?
Still, the riots and looting don’t solve anything. Hair weaves? Seriously? Sounds like an excuse to rob and burn.
Very disturbing. Hope the protests don’t spread around the country, or we’ll have a reprise of the ‘60s riots.
With a Community Organizer in the Whitehouse and a race-baiting AG heading the Justice Dept. how could that ever happen?

Looks like the perp in the Furguson, Mo. case was carrying out a robbery? Not such a good person after all. Then he tried to take the policeman’s gun?
So many mixed messages. Al not-so-Sharpton putting in his 2 cents, people complaining about militarization of local police forces, riots, looting. All of it just muddying the waters.

What a Sunday I had...I don’t think I’ll be on Mondays thread as I have a pounding migraine. Had a Bridal shower for my sons fiancé. My husband, 2 youngest sons, the bride and groom, my daughter and granddaughter all left our house at the same time to go to local facility we rented. We left w/coolers, presents, etc.
Someone was watching us and decided to kick in our back door. Stole my sons debit card & am amount of cash; took a small music box my wedding/engagement rings; my late mothers engagement rings and a ring my late grandmother wore her entire life (a bloodstone-worthless to anyone but me)...it was given to her as a teen when she left Ireland by her mother. It is all just sentimental “stuff.”
Thankfully, thief was gone by time husband and sons returned but they could have encountered someone crazy enough to break into a house at 10:30 on a Sunday morning. My 17 y/o comes into an empty house days I work. I can honestly say I had my first panic attack in my life.
I didn’t find this out til I got home (not to ruin the Shower). Had to visit our police department and try to describe what was taken. I am stupid, I don’t have photos of items and I took off wedding set because my hands were puffy from food prep.
There’s my story. I need to vent. We all feel so violated.
Be careful, the druggies seeking $ are everywhere. A happy day to life changer in minutes...it could have been deadly worse if they met up w/robber.
Looking at simply safe security system. And then arming up. Don’t know where cash will come from, but need not to feel like sitting ducks.

Holy smokes! So glad you are all ok! It breaks my heart that your grandmothers ring was stolen. How sad that such a happy day will be marred by such a memory. I hope you get a security system in before the wedding! Or a house sitter that you trust.
We live out of indiana about 5 miles. Only a few houses around us. Still, we both have been dreaming of buying property out in Potter, Elk or Clinton counties. Just dreaming, mind you. Safer places away from the larger population. Too many crazies out there, as you just found out.
Try to get some sleep and take care of that migraine Your family is safe, and that is what is important. You know, our hot water tank went yesterday, and our Lowes card took another big hit. Your situation puts it all in perspective. I have no grounds to complain!
