Good publicity (and probably a tax deduction) for the buyers ... it’s not as if they can breed him.
LOL! And only with a $1000 investment!
One percenter!
Great for her, a record for the Illinois State Fair.
I’ll leave out the Texas bragging for comparisons.
I want to know what AT&T, Monsanto and DeKalb/Asgro are going to do with the animal.
This reminds me of when I was a kid we belonged to the FFA. We would show off our champion steers at the county fair. They were auctioned off at the end of the fair and grocery chains would bid up the prices to sell at their stores. We never made $100,000 but the prices were much higher then the standard price for beef. A certainly help fund our college education.
Don’t knock Hillary!
She worked hard for her money!
(So hard for it honey!
She works hard for the money. So you better treat her right.)
For those who remember the Donna Summer song, you’ll understand my meaning.
Good for this little girl!
The government will net around $40K for doing absolutely nothing. Who is the real winner here?
$100k for a STEER? I could see it for a bull, but what are you going to do with $100k steer? Have a $10,000 steak?
Why the heck is a friggin’ cow worth $100,000.00?
Let me guess .... her daddy is politically connected and can steer (sorry) some government contracts to the donors - I mean, buyers of the animal.
Good for her. Congratulations to the ambitious young lady. If she is this good at 12, she will be adding to the good eating stock of the future when she ramps up her business. Mores the better.
