That does sound plausible.

And why would any parent who knows that this operation exists and recruits their victims from a homeless shelter knowingly send their daughter there? Your theory makes the parents look even worse.

Unless there is any evidence that anyone other than the murderers engaged in criminal activity, let’s assume the victim was innocent.

He walked up to introduce himself to her father. Not what one would expect him to do if he already had a certain rep.

18-year-old daughter, Lisa, says her parents kicked her out a week ago and dropped her off at a homeless shelter....”

Did we need to hear anymore of her story?

She had problems long before this episode, likely many.

Young women from troubled /abusive backgrounds have a limited sense of self worth.

The answer is not to tear them down for it, but build them up.

You don't know that her background was "abusive." But even if it was, the answer is not to "build her up." The answer is for her to build HERSELF up. No other person -- mother, father, week-old boyfriend -- is going to do it for her.

I don't think this kid deserved to get shot. But I don't have much sympathy for her either.

Emotionally healthy parents do not try to collect their estranged but loved daughter from a bad situation by shooting at her and her boyfriend.

This girl grew up in a dysfunctional family.

My guess is that Jeremy is an aspiring young, urban businessman of the street variety, and that he grabbed the girl PDQ from the shelter, and that he was either pimping her out from the "family's" home, or was fixin' to get ready to put her on a corner. She just needed some breakin-in TLC, thus "he was my everything," until the game really gets going -- then it's down, down, down, the toilet.

Is your real name Dr. Sam Beckett? Because that was one hell of a leap.

The fact is that Jeremy was a volunteer who helped out at the shelter. But don't let the truth stop you from thinking the worst about someone you didn't know.

Here's some more information. Still not a lot of information Jeremy.

"Friends told KOTV that the Keplers could not have children and decided years ago to adopt. Their oldest daughter, Lisa, is now 18. Family friends said Lisa and her sister - who the Keplers also adopted - had been diagnosed with Reactive attachment disorder, which can cause serious behavioral issues. They said the Keplers spent thousands of dollars trying to get the girls the help they needed.

Gina and Shannon Kepler had Lisa in and out of programs, homes and therapy, according to family friends. But the girl was frequently kicked out or dismissed from the establishments."

"I've known him a week, less than a week," Lisa told the station. "He was everything. He gave me a place to stay, food to eat, a bed to sleep in. He meant a lot to me and dad came and took him away."

Your white guilt indoctrination is showing.

Sometimes I wish I didn't know so much about guys like him, girls like her, homeless shelters, rehabs, and the real truth about these sorts of stories.

That inner-city sub-human thug was no altruistic "volunteer".

The dad deserves a medal for offing the insect.

That’s awful. That makes it seem worse to me. Seems like a situation you would want to approach with a lot of trained personnel, backup, and a gentler approach. Not aggression or Dirty Harry style justice.

Just my opinion. I don’t know the details. I just like when situations can be dissolved rather than escalated. I was a bouncer when I was in college and I grew up in a house with a lot of violence. I prefer to take care of things reasonably whenever possible. This doesn’t seem like that kind of situation.

They adopted because they couldn’t have children. I think the sperms and eggs simply refused to be introduced. They said AW HELL NAW!

Thee just is no way to make “sense” of this with the information we have. It appears that not only did he shoot the boyfriend, he attempted to shoot his adopted daughter. His only plea has to be insanity.

Your racism is showing.

I'm not white.

Also, I work near the shelter and I know the boy's family. He was a volunteer.

Your racism is showing. [Not true.}

I'm not white. [Not relevant.]

Also, I work near the shelter and I know the boy's family. He was a volunteer. [Spin]

Too late for that spin. The guy's thug pictures are already floating around the interwebs.

Just like Trayvon, he was just an ordinary honor student fixin' to turn his life around.
