For nursing school???
Where was the campus? On the moon?
I have family members who are nurses and there ain't no way they paid 100,000 dollars for their education.
Some students decide to go to expensive private colleges - somehow thinking it’s a good investment? Then they decide to live in an expensive apartment rather than living in a dormitory. Then they need a car to get to campus, a big screen, a new computer...
The smart kids live at home, go to a community college the first two years, do well and get a scholarship to the state college.
Most parents want to do the right thing for their kids. Maybe these parents thought it was important for their daughter to go to a fancy school.
She probably did what a lot of kids do - take out a loan far in excess of the cost of the education so that they can live off the loan money while in school (nice apartment/rent house, new car, new clothes, etc.).
100k/4 Years=25k year.
Sounds right.
“I have family members who are nurses and there ain’t no way they paid 100,000 dollars for their education.”
That is what I was thinking how could someone pay 100k for nursing school. Was she at Harvard.
The problem is that the people offering the loans are predatory lender, but more of a problem are the kids who use these loans for all sorts of things other than books, tuition and basics. They go out and party on the money by expensive toys and live in the fantasy world that the bill won't come due.
