The cable network continued to employ the senior international correspondent despite her 'history of becoming intoxicated and then abusive.' On Monday, Damon apologized in an email and wrote that she's 'beyond embarrassed.'

Combine that with a desire to hide behind the power of editing if doing a video, or the protection of the editor if writing a column.

Some people are just not comfortable in a real live conversation where they can be challenged so they resort to these types of professions to wreak their revenge.

It's never simply their fault. It's CNN's fault ". stressful time.. I was exhausted"; It's her environment's fault (no restaurants) "I had not had [sic] proper food"; and the insidious alcohol's fault that mysteriously entered her body - as you say: "alchohol consumed".

Plus, it's all about her, not the victims (EMTs).

She went on to say she is "being filled in on the details of my behavior. I am beyond embarrassed. My actions and words were entirely out of my character, and I hope that everyone can at some point forgive me."
