When Obama was first running for POTUS, the MSM reported that he spoke Indonesian. They assumed since he’d lived their for years at a formative age he’d picked it up. Turns out he doesn’t know one word of Indonesian. Just the Arabic call to prayer.
I am not sure about Ms Portman. I have never conversed with her in any other language than English.

My daughter was truly fluent reading and speaking in Spanish, and she could easily be that again. but it’s been a few years since she spent real time in a Spanish speaking country, so she is somewhat rusty. Real *fluency* would require being immersed in it again, which she hasn’t had the opportunity to do.
For Portman to be fluent she would need frequent exposure to native speakers of those five languages. Unless her linguistic abilities are seriously off the charts.
I am usually skeptical of PR folks claiming their actor employer is fluent in anything beyond acting. And often not sure of that.
For one thing, Brit Hume can’t call Kerry an idiot because it wouldn’t be good for repeat business. But the idiocy of Kerry is obvious and undeniable. This the thing that confounds me most of all about the deplorable left. It is a circus of idiots, and the media has no other reason for existence than to present the left’s mentally challenged freak show. They parade idiots like Kerry, Biden, Reid, Pelosi and Obama like they are the founders of the new enlightenment, and then wonder why we are so depressed, and why everything is failing.
It’s always been that way in his case.
Actuall I looked up Ms. Portman. Seems she speaks only English and Hebrew fluently and only knows the other languages in a conversational manner (in other words, how to say hello and goodbye, how much do I owe for my room for the night? or how much is the check?, etc...) Hell I can learn that on the flight over to whatever country I’m going to...lol

I was raised Democrat and taught that Republicans were all old fat white rich men. that used 100 bills to light their campfires ...and then I grew up and learned the truth.
I was raised Republican. My problem started when I asked my mother what was the difference between the two parties...and she said there wasn’t one. That probably started my drift into liberalism, though other factors contributed as well. I’m happy & thankful to report that I eventually made a full recovery.

Mama Stanley Ann found a surrogate daddy with her communist mother and dad in Hawaii. The two along with Stanley Ann hooked up with communist U of H student from Kenya for an arrangement to have baby Obama to be born in Kenya. There are many dots to be connected in ObamaII’s life including Hawaii divorce for mama leaving out birth records and accidental death of mama’s friend and cult companion when Hawaii’s registrar of birth records. Time and events will bring facts to public attention.

But, unfortunately for him, he zeroed out in both assets....although God DID make up for it by gifting Kerry with a talent for making easy money off needy women.

But it's true that politicians who went to the right schools and made the right connections and have the proper political views get the benefit of the doubt from the media and their supporters.
We may actually know Bill Bradley's SAT scores, and if the figure is right they're abysmal, but because of Princeton and Oxford people assume he has to be smart. To be fair, though, Bradley didn't make noticeable gaffes.
It's the Adlai Stevenson phenomenon. Stevenson was not a particularly learned person and didn't do well in college or law school, but he had the polish and the manner and his supporters assumed he was a great intellect.
Hillary's another matter. I don't know how smart she is, but she's incredibly tactless. I guess that's a kind of stupidity in a way, but you may find tactlessness in very bright people. Eugene McCarthy was very bright, but quite inept at real world politics.
Hillary may have been very bright once, or may just have been good at following directions in school, but I think she found out that she really didn't have to use her brain much after getting the jobs she wanted, so her intellect atrophied.
It’s true that “Obama” looks just like the cult leader. I don’t think he looks much like Frank Marshall Davis. OTOH, there are those naked pictures of Stanley Ann taken in Davis’s living room. Anybody believe there was no physical hanky-panky?

Well you have to admit that Kerry’s SAT score (while lower than W. Bush) was 200 points higher than BJ Clinton, LOL.
