It is those deep-set eyes and expansive forehead and the fact that he can speak French. Shallow is as shallow does. After all, is not the current President President on appearance?
He must not be very smart to bang a reporter.
With that in mind, Biden carries two cell phones on him at all times, one for his wife and one for all his girlfriends.
I know that for about the same reason you know about Kerry.
Why not "embalmed" instead of "smart?"

People often confuse crafty and cunning for smart!

Well, he did serve in Vietnam and was elected as a Democratic senator from a state that automatically elects Democrats. Plus, he has nice hair, a deep voice, and his initials are JFK. Lastly, he graduated from Yale where he, apparently, acquired a talent for marrying rich women.
Also, did I mention he served in Vietnam?

I think he would bang anyone he could. I just know because my wife was in the mix. The Springfield market is a place where many young folks get there start in the business. So, there were plenty of pretty young girls following him around.
They think J. F’n. Kerry is smart only because he tells us he smart. It all goes back to his false testinomy before the US Senate about common everyday atrocities commited by US Forces in Vietnam and his erudite pronunciation of “Ghengis Khan”.
That has to be the reason!

Rush used to regularly play a scrambled statement from Ted Kennedy. He should start capturing some of Kerry’s ramblings, and begin playing those on air.
So does Inspector Clouseau.
I lived in MA for most of Kerry’s senatorial term. The state is awash in Dems. Never in all that time—2+ decades—did I ever hear even one person suggest Kerry was smart.

hilLIARy is smart.
zero is smart.
jfnkerry is smart.
Say a lie loud enough and long enough, people believe it.
Of course, they also chant that any conservative is dumb (and a racist).
I question the basic intelligence of anyone beyond an undergraduate who falls for any flavor of Marxism.
So true. Hillary is an excellent example of remorseless, ruthless cunning being mistaken for intelligence. She's particularly smart.
OTOH, I haven't seen any real evidence that Kerry is cunning or intelligent.
I think that it's they get to DC and it's all about playing the game, like they had to play the game to get there. What's lacking isn't "smart" it's what they've used their brains for. The lack is of wisdom, perspective, and real problem-solving experience. There's no vision of making the future better.
Since WW2 the only Presidents to have that were Ike, Reagan and Clinton (yeah, Clinton).
I don't think John Kerry is stupid. It's more that throughout his life he's tried too hard to please and his insincerity shows through. Obama and hillary seem just plain self-centered and dumb.
