Kind of a forgotten little hit from the early 1980s.

Keyboard driven rock was the historical low point of that genre.
The thread yesterday reminded me of The Cars - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eq-yoorI7lo
Bunch of homos. No wonder I didn’t know who they were.
I didn’t realize this guy was this talented until recently.

Sacramento band from the early 80’s. I remember it well. Best time of my life, even if I didn’t realize it at the time.
Here’s another one I dug up from the early eighties: “Everybody’s got to learn sometime” by the Korgis. One hit wonders, but still a good song.

Sorry. This is awful. I do remember it now. Terrible song and even worst video. Eghads!
Not every band has to be The Beatles. There's plenty of room in the pop world for a young band to grab some attention with a one-off hit song or two before they fade into obscurity and get real jobs. In fact it is those "minor hits" that bring back the most memories for me from a particular era, as the smash hits you hear over and over again until you are tired of them.
Speaking of lost hits, I heard Echo Beach the other day by Martha & The Muffins. Another great song from that late 70s/early 80s period.
Same here- best times of my life!!
I had forgotten this song until I heard it on Sirius a few months ago.
Also love In My Dreams by REO Speedwagon and Endless Summer Nights by Richard Marx.
