Yes, and the weather here has been terrible lately. Down to 52 degrees overnight and up to 101 during the day! I should hasten to post a query to see of everyone else is undergoing such horrendous experiences! (/sarc)
(not a personal attack. pointed towards the post originator.)

"Just keeping up the freeper tradition of freaking out over what is usually nothing. :-"
however, at times its mind blowing when a thread is started following a certain ordinary event, like a space shuttle landing, and it turns out to be a startling human event..
.so I say, let'er rip..
...I'd rather have an inside scoop even if its not earth shattering..

Stay safe 2DV!
Sounds like the thunder is moving to the east here. (that’s kinda weird) with just a thimble full of rain. No more “alerts” on the tv.

Nope. I’m in Florida.
At any rate those EAS tests the local channels often do always scare the living hell out of me. I’ll be watching TV when that frigging beep comes on and it makes me jump out of my skin.

Cable TV (Google Fiber). It truncated halfway through the county list though. Never seen that before.Probably just lost the feed, or some techie screwed up.

From the movie The Andromeda Strain (1971). While the principals were in the underground laboratory, there were a series of nonsensical PA announcements running as background noise. That announcement stuck with me, probably because of the absurdity of it.
