You have to remember that many people in Africa hold the belief that you can cure AIDS by having sex with a virgin. Many times these virgins are raped, and forcible rape can easily lead to blood transfer.
Jesus died for their sins as well. There are many many Christians in Africa. Christians who will walk for 3 days to attend church.
Many of the problems in central Africa today are attributable to what the Dutch did.
