I saw one of those on display between Lackland and Kelley. I then read about the double mustang. It was a surprisingly good plane and performed well.
The only problem is it came out just as jets were making progress and could not perform with them.
I saw one at the Dayton air force museum. I expected it to be about half the size it actually is. It’s huge.
