When I was about 10 a drugged out hippie walked into my cousins house, three houses away from ours. My aunt and uncle were gone and my 16 yr old cousin was watching her 11 brothers and sisters. The guy went upstairs to one of the boys bedrooms, laid down and told them to get him something to eat. The boys in that room were 5-8 and they thought it was funny and sat watching him for a few minutes until one of them told their sister. She ran to my house and got my dad. He told me to stay home, of course I didn’t and watched from the bushes. This house was 3 stories, sat on a hill with about 50 steps leading to the front of the house. My dad, whose only 5’8 dragged this guy down 3 sets of steps in the house and then down the front steps for the police. I remember the guy saying he was going to come back and kill my dad. This guy was so much bigger than my dad, but my dad learned to fight smart from the time he was 6. I was so proud of my dad, but scared for him too for many years.
