Yes he did win morethan anyone else last year. However, the rough is allowed to grow much taller for the majors which hurts Tiger with his inconsistency off the tees. This is especially true for the U.S. Open. For the Open Championship, the fairways are well maintained. The rough is never mowed; it’s just left in its natural state.

The Master's is played on the same course every year giving Tiger an advantage. The British Open is played on links courses.

Yes, Tiger must do better with his driver to win majors, but to assume that he can't correct that problem would be a mistake. All it will take is one win in a major and the pundits will be singing a different tune.
