‘There’s a Chance I Could Run’ for President Again by Eddie Scarry | 8:28 am, July 23rd, 2014

Outgoing Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) may be down but she wants everyone to know she’s not out.

“The only thing that the media has speculated on is that it’s going to be various men that are running (in 2016),” Bachmann said in a new interview with Real Clear Politics. “They haven’t speculated, for instance, that I’m going to run. What if I decide to run? And there’s a chance I could run.”

Politics watchers will recall Bachmann’s first failed run for the 2012 Republican presidential nomination. After winning the not-that-significant Iowa Ames Straw Poll in 2011, she enjoyed a brief stint at the top of the polls. Then, without citing any medical proof, she threw out the idea on national TV that the HPV vaccine may cause mental retardation and things were downhill from there with Bachmann dropping out of the race shortly thereafter.

You might be right. Part of the reason I threw my support behind Newt - which I later apologized for - was because he was such a good debater. Really, what we needed was someone with good credentials (Rick Perry), good ideas (Herman Cain), or at least good debate skills (Newt).

What the Republicans got was a candidate with socialist credentials (Massachusetts gov), no good ideas (Romneycare), and no debate skills. Well, Willard got under Bathhouse Barry’s skin in the first debate, but he absolutely tanked from that point on.

Bachmann just isn’t a leader or executive material.

Hmmmm ..?? I have trouble picturing Ted Cruz making such an ignorant choice .. since the man is not stupid .. and he’s not a fool.

.. but he absolutely tanked from that point on.

There was a history behind THAT:

And a BIG behind it was!

I had trouble imagining FReepers willfully and stubbornly ignoring quotes from Sheldon Adelson saying he was a liberal and only supporting Newt to make sure Romney beat Santorum and his anti abortion stance. Now those same geniuses are shocked that Adelson is a Harry Reid supporter.

Same with Fred Thompson and his idiotic endorsement of the national popular vote.

Condi Rice

David Patreus

Colin Powell

The list goes on and on. Idol worship is a morons game and conservatives play it with the best of them and the only thing worse is clearing a path for a candidate who may not be.

You can make put the MSM in its place if you know what to say. All it takes is charisma.

Look at the clips of what Newt said during the primaries on YouTube. Remember when the “open marriage” allegations against Newt came up? John King asked him if he’d “like to comment on it, “and Newt responded “no, but I will” and tore into the news media and King personally for opening a debate with a question like that.
