According to the CDC, the average survival duration for people diagnosed with HIV has increased "from 10.5 to 22.5 years from 1996 to 2005". But treatment is expensive ($379,668 in 2010 dollars).

And now you know why ObamaCare was so desperately pushed, with no denial for pre-existing conditions.
