That’s from the 1989 romantic comedy, “When Harry Met Sally.” But you already knew that. It’s a famous movie and a famous line, and in the 25 years since Nora Ephron’s classic swept the box office, people still love this hilarious and heartwarming tale of true friendship melting into true love.

Teh gheys.

“Romance” in the theaters has been of the lavender variety for 2 decades now.

“Art films”, corporate “indie” films, and the major studio comedies.

The hook up mentality killed the romantic comedy.

A lot of genres seem to be dead. Movies are made for kids now and we have to endure one “franchise” release after another.

"no worse genre"

Thank you. Romantic comedies are essentially chick flicks and to be avoided by real men like the plague. Watched only under threat of severe repercussions from female spouse or girlfriend.

Romance is not a viable concept any longer. It is not politically correct and does not reflect reality. Now it is simply sex on the first date and sex every date. There is no romance allowed. Romance is sexist or something.

Great romantic comedies and romantic movies exist. They just don’t exist in Hollywood.

For several years, I have been watching K Dramas, or dramas made in Korea.

They have wonderful, clean and wholesome plots.

They are technically superior to Hollywood and the actors are far better than Hollywood.

You will get used to the sub-titles quickly.

Take a look at Drama Fever. It is a streaming service and I urge you to give it a try.
