Yep, I wonder why? Perhaps someone should apply for a federal grant to study the problem.

i think you could be safer.

scream you are unarmed, and run naked with a bunch of money around your neck.

With all due respect to customers who may be injured or killed as a consequence of Target's misguided anti-gun policy, this is social Darwinism at work.

In fact, although Walmart doesn't have such an anti-gun policy (or does it?) here's an earlier FR thread about a threatening situation that happened in a Walmart, a little girl's life probably being saved by armed personnel.

99.999% more likely to be victims of illegal firearm use than have an incident with a legal CCW.
Not defending them, but I wonder if insurance rates have anything to do with it?

I just spent over $150 online that I would have spent at Target.

I do not shive a git what Target or Starbucks do...I refuse to patronized either establishment. For this and many other reasons. Ben and Jerry’s also comes to mind...

I used to be quite a big fan of Target. It was my favorite of the big 3 discount stores (Target, KMart, Wal-mart). But sadly, the liberalism of their corporate office has alienated me from them.

Not much of a problem unless you have a burning desire to have a “queer friendly” shopping experience.

It’s really too bad I’ve refused to darken their doors for many years so I could ban them now.

I have no problem with this.

Businesses should have the righto refuse anyone for any reason ... but the left doesn’t believe in that ... except when it comes to guns.

Are they going to guarantee the safety of everyone there? Can they?

I will avoid their stores from now on, but not without letting them know why.

It is insane to me that any corporation would politicize itself in this country. I have pretty much ceased shopping anywhere except Kroger and occasionally online. I am sick of these hacks. It is a good way to save money as well. Even my son has taken to wanting to hit garage sales on Saturday mornings. Do these folks even realize how much money they are leaving on the table with all their whacky politicization of social issues? Are they really doing so well they feel comfortable offending half the country?

It’s a good question.

However, I think if they wish to press the issue, they call LEOs.

In the meantime, I think if they wish that, they need to post notices at the stores. Otherwise it’s just air.

Exactly. And I agree with you on each point.

I even think f-ag bakers should have the right to refuse service to Westboro Baptist Church when it wants to order a “God Hates Fags” cake.

But, what kind of neanderthal am I?

And the law in Texas is, there needs to be a sign posted at the entrances.

Their property, their right. I will respect their request; however, I will now exercise my right to drop them into the Do Not Patronize Again bin alongside Starbucks and the NFL.
