I don’t think they’re welfare bums. The father seems to be well spoken and educated. He owns some sort of consulting business and was home schooling the kid.

I'll still bet that they're scammin' on some sort of welfare...food stamps, food or energy supplements, whatever....they have 10 kids.....that means 12 mouths to feed....well, maybe 11 and a half counting the poor kid locked in his medievial torture chamber.
