I have a neighbor who is a county sheriff. He has been for 20 plus years. He is terrified of what they have become. There is a real old guard / new guard division in Copland. This was accomplished by DHS and federal grants to cop school training. They provided all the toys too. Remember Clinton's 100,000 new cops program? That was the camel's nose. That whole Ellian Gonzalez, Waco, and Ruby Ridge thing was just so cop-sexy.
