Somebody needs to buy the boy a Big Mac.
Did it impact the game? Will Ty Cobb’s records be invalidated next?
So how long will he be playing while an appeal grinds on?
Cut him some slack. Maybe he’s from a tribe of cannibals. All cultures are equal.
Only in soccer could a guy bite multiple people and still have teeth left.
Should have been for LIFE!
He should be gone for life. I love soccer but what a complete joke FIFA is. Any goodwill the sport has garnered in this World Cup just went right out the window.
IMHO, it’s not enough to be the most boring game on the planet. Now they’re literally trying to eat each other.
Being a third offense for biting, I’m on the side of banning him for life, but as far as I can tell, this is the longest ban FIFA has ever dished out for conduct during a match.
"I don't get mad, I get BITE-Y!"
During the suspension, he should fight Evander Holyfield.
FIFA should have banned Suarez until the start of the 2015-2016 European soccer season. Losing a full season’s salary from Liverpool F.C. (and likely all the endorsement money from sponsors) would make Suarez think twice about any more attempts at being “bad boy” on the pitch.
Surely you were wrong, Luis. Your barefoot childhood, your cramped bedroom, your cold and your hunger, formed in you need to take a bite of life (occasionally) so that it will return a warm pampering.Surely you were wrong and very angry yesterday with the English, who demand your immediate crucifixion. They are omnipotent, they have a queen whom God saves.
They with their imperial lineage have chewed up this story, with the difference that they have God's blessing. They blew into colonialist Africa with fire and sword; killing, raping and biting (human resources) in the name of God and the Queen.
They bombed Baghdad with their northern cousins, in the name of democracy and humanity. They dictate morality, judge and jury.
It is complicated, Luis. They have God and the Queen. And you only have a three million-odd in size village (who), here south of the south, in error, Luis, support you. Your teeth are ours, because you're the exponent of a race with an unbounded sky.
Surely you screwed up, Luis. But you are not guilty of being born in a country that once had a General who said (precisely in regards to the English) that "the day I run out of men, I will fight with wild dogs."
I'm having a hard time recognizing some of my Uruguayan friends over this matter. People who are otherwise sane and loveable have morphed into blithering idiots on this topic.
