Open primaries are STUPID!

I agree. Shut down all primaries to cross the line voters. Either WE pick our candidates or let the dims and SRM pick 'em for us. I prefer US picking the candidates, NOT the opposition.

Idaho Republicans aren't the brightest bulbs on the tree, even by Stupid Party standards. But at least they had the good sense to tell the state GOP-E to stuff it and closed their primaries. Despite the whining of our "governor" and Secretary of State, voter turnout in the 2012 primaries was higher than in 2008, and for a change, it was only Republicans voting!

Any state Republican party that doesn't push for closed primaries is well deserving of the "Stupid Party" moniker.
