In all these years, lesser evil after lesser evil, what do we have? Protection of Democrats. Amnesty in the works. Obamacare. Unlimited spending. All that and a hundred more. And ‘Lesser evil’ all those ‘lesser evils’ did what? Helped ensure the Dems got what they wanted.
When following the party platform and hitting 80% is too much for some people to handle, Regan advised they should go their own way. Because ‘clearly’ their ‘way’ isn’t compatible with his. Or ours. Or the founders.
