The difference between a good cook and a great cook is a tablespoon of salt.

Tell me about it. I made pasta for perogies (sp?) yesterday and forgot to add salt to the dough - yuck - so bland. Extra salt in the water to cook them did nothing to help.

My mother was the favorite cook at the nursing home where she worked. The reason, salt (which she wasn’t suppose to use by the rules).
