Soccer is an extremely difficult sport to play because the your foot is the farthest thing from your brain, looking at your feet while you are running is also not practical. Therefore the majority of the touches in soccer are from muscle memory. To develop muscle memory, sports physiologists say it takes 10,000 hours to master a sport... just to touch the ball without having to use your brain.
