Good point. To be in that Make A Wish organization at all, the boy must be terminal. There are indeed times when it’s appropriate to be the Entertainer In Chief, so this was one of them. His parents will forever treasure that photo showing their son smiling at The White House. I too will treasure this pic, cause it marks that Obama’s Occupation of the Office is thankfully growing ever shorter by the hour!!

It is no longer required that a child be terminally ill to receive a wish from Make A Wish. The illness must be “serious or life-threatening.” (I am a former chair of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Western North Carolina.)
