I don’t think so. Most, if not all, instant coffee labels have “100% Pure Coffee” printed on the label. If sugar was added, the company would have to declare it on the label.

As a matter of interest, I believe that practically all instant coffee is made from Robusta beans, not Arabica beans.

There is a brand (???) of instant coffee that has maltodextrin, a flavor enhancer/sweetner made from corn. I found out the hard way by having an allergic reaction to it before I finally read the label. The rest of them say 100% coffee.
